I think one of the best beginnings of a relationship with Christ is a humbled heart. There's no moment in your life quite as poignant as when the realization hits home: that you can't heal yourself on your own.

It's one step closer to the truth that the world has been hiding from you all these years under layers of Pop, Hollywood, Boys, Cash, and Coolness -- that you don't belong here. This world isn't your home. There is no comfort to be found here, no joy, no peace, no acceptance, certainly no salvation.

You can't heal yourself, neither can this world do it for you. What you're looking for is deeper than your ideas of healing, deeper than the cheapened cliche we have made out of the word healing. That's why there is no rest for you, until you have found what you're looking for. What you're looking for, you see, is a Savior.
